All you hear from cons is how "Christian" they are, how much they have an exclusivity on morality and then exemplify it with hate, rage, insults and other nonsense.

How exactly are republicans "Christian", as they claim, when they flush most of what Christ taught?

well, obviously those ppl who are acting in that way aren't representing Christ very well.......and just like not ALL liberals act one way, neither do all conservatives. you could take your post and put in "liberals" and it would be true of some liberals. stop painting whole groups of ppl with the same brush and get to know them individually. everyone has a couple of issues that are dear to their heart and everyone (conservative or liberal) has the ability to be stupid about them. i mean.....you don't sound very loving or intelligent either, going by this post.....should i assume then that you are a liberal? or a conservative? so confusing....

I am a liberal and very new to YA. I have not got around to spewing my liberal hate yet. I don't really hate right wingers, some of my best friends are republicans. Yes I live for the chance to impress as many people as I can with my hateful tirades on free speech. Those hateful attempts to keep gay people from being the targets of violence. Yeah we liberals are so rude unlike those sweethearts Limbaugh and Oreilly. We liberals can learn so much from the fair and open minded patriotic republicans. Thank you for such a fairly worded question. And bless you for being a God fearing American.

It is odd that the conservative Christian movement is so very judgemental whereas most Christians aren't at all(only God should judge). Yet Christians everywhere are fooled into believing that the far right evangelicals & fundamentalists represent them. There are many, many types of Christians and the far right brand is a minority-however they'd like you to think. (They also believe most Christians-besides them-don't do to heaven-but even the most evil born again can go to heaven if they are born again!

First where are your sources? Second Jesus was and still is very much so intereseted in politics. Who do you think the Pharisee's were? That was the biggest political system in the region, those were the guys that coaxed the people to crucify him. Third, how can a Christian be a liberal? God has a set way a structure, an order to things. Everything has an order. So a liberal Christian would and does tell God that "Abortions cool becasue I feel it's ok."
Part of Being Christian is knowing that You do not know what is best for everyone. And doing what is right is usually what isn't popular. Gay Marriage? C'mon people does it take a rocket scientist to figure out why that's not gonna work?

I agree with you...it seems that it is the Conservative Christians that are most biased. They want to impose their morality on people so that women can't have the rights over their own bodies, we can't help people with life threatening illnesses through stem cell research and so we won't allow same sex couples the same rights as heterosexuals...You gotta wonder, if Jesus existed and he preached love and exceptance why are Christians so full of hatred?

Republicans don't have a monopoly on Christian values, but conservative ideals most certainly reflect those values better than any alternative. Unfortunately, even the Republican party has compromised far too much.

As for "hate," this is absolutely inconsistent with Christian values. That doesn't guarantee that there aren't hateful Republicans; but they are a small minority, and they aren't likely to truly be Christians.

The Bible is filled with hate. Have you ever read it? The old testament is filled with trickery, murder, jealousy, rape and revenge.

The new testament has some parts that are good, like Love Thy Neighbor but Jesus was not exactly a role model for family values. He was a single man who wandered around without a job relying on strangers to feed him and encouraging other men to abandon their families to follow him as he performed his "miracles."

Religion has always been used to control people and get them to do what you want. Conservatives use it that way. Look at Pat Robertson. He makes an obscene amount of money from contributions which he uses to buy diamond mining tools to make him even more obscenely rich and powerful.

There is hate on both sides, republican and democrat. I am conservative and I have attacked conservatives for doing what you claim all or most conservatives do. But I see far more attacking and name calling from the left. Your name proves my point.

It's very simple

There are two Jesuses. Red Jesus and Blue Jesus

Here is the basic difference. In the Gospel of Blue Jesus he says Love thy neighbor as thy self. But Red Jesus said Hate your neighbor and screw everything and everyone.

Go big Red Go
