Forest Whitaker
His portrayal of Idi Amin scared me to death. He portrays the ultimate man-child in power, someone who enjoys himself by soaking in his wealth and playing with his women. In the film you are almost completely charmed by him however as it goes on, you begin to see his rollercoaster emotions propel him to do some of the most horrific things imaginable.
But then again, I haven't seen Blood Diamond yet.

Haven't seen The Master, but the rest of the movies were good without being true classics. I probably enjoyed Les Miserables the most as it was something different yet grand epic spectacular. I wish the kid from The Life of Pi had been nominated what an endearing performance from an unknown. The big three in the above equation i.e Denzel, Hugh Jackman & Daniel Day Lewis all did fantastically in their repsective roles. I'm going to have to go with Hugh Jackman on that one, only because I I believe every role that Denzel iand Day Lewis do they should win Oscars for they are two of the great actors, flawless, so they will cancel each other out.
