Can you really read, seriously and for a long period of time while listening to the radio?

For me, it depends on the music. If I am reading something and the music fits with the mood of the book, it makes the book even better. However, if I'm reading a tragedy, for example, and Akon's rapping on the radio, it distracts me and I have to either turn off the radio or put down my book.

Yeah, i do it all the time. In fact it is easier for me to read when there is music playing.

yes and some studies have been done on college kids and they did better with the music on . not the radio and i could read as long as i please

Yes, but I probably zone out and the music probably just becomes background music.

Yeah, although sometimes I'll just slowly stop paying attention to what im reading and i'll have to go back once or twice

if i am focused on something yeah i can......but its harder for me cuz i dance around while i listen to music or the radio ...lol

Yes. It's easier if the music doesn't have lyrics, but I can do it either way.

If i am not interested in what I am reading then no, but if I like what I am reading then it doesnt bother me.
