You want to look like yourself but extra nice on your big day. You don't want to look back at your photos and say, "yup that was in '07 and that was the trend for makeup then...stop laughing at Mommy!"
You want to look timeless and classic/classy.
(Does your fiance (and friends) like what you do with your makeup by yourself? If so do it yourself.)
Just turn it up a notch like you are going out for the evening but not too much or you'll look weird.

Your dress and hair style will actually dictate how you should go with your makeup...depends where you want the emphasis.
Fancy dress...go with a few false lashes and maybe a shinier eyeshadow and natural lips with gloss.
Simple dress... matte eyeshadow, blush, gloss lips with shine.

Generally, brides should look fresh with an enhanced naturalness.
This is achieved with shades that compliment your skin tone. Either a healthy dusty rose shade or my preference coral.
I think you'd be safe with coral blush, peachy/coral eyeshadow with some spice colours blended in. For lips... your natural tone but a shade or two darker.

All the makeup should be the 'colour stay' kind...your foundation, eyeshadow and lipstick. Mascara... the new cover girl in the purple container is actually really nice.

If you think you'll be too nervous to do it yourself try out a couple of places months before your wedding incase you have a reaction to their products...either a breakout or rash.

Work on getting healthy skin...drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and raw veggies, walk as much as you can. Exfoliate gently and moisturize!

Hope this helps a little.
Happy Wedding Day! Happy Married Life!
Good luck!

Go to the makeup counters at department stores and have the ladies there help. Also call a Mary Kay lady and have her do a makeover for you. Merl Norman stores are also great. They make you over for free and then pick and choose. Glamour shots is good too but they charge like $20 for the makeover and taking pictures and like $200 if you want all the pictures. I am a male to female crossdresser and use all of these resourses.

Listen to the pro! What I tell all my brides is to go simple. You want to look natural because there is going to be somuch going on that day you don't always want to worry about having to fix anything. For example what if you cry? Make up will always last through that so go with neutral tone that best match your skin tone and go alittle heavier on everything but too heavy- you want to go heavy so your makeup shows well in the photos. However like I said not to heavy, the last thing you want is to look like cake face on the most important day of your life! Good Luck! (and not just with the make up but with your wedding also!)

In my opinion....... less is more always. In a wedding you will most likely be wearing white, and too much make-up will make you look like a plastic wedding barbie......... Light and a little.....

umm, it depends on your skin tone, hair/eye color etc. if you go to a professional makeup artist they'll do it really well since they know what matches your skin tone etc.
good luck, and congrats on the wedding!
