I love Max Factor's new 2000 calorie formula. I get compliments every time I wear it. I think mascara is the essential beauty item! Almay's One Coat is great and MAC makes some fun colored mascara. Other than that, I wouldn't waste a lot of money on "designer" mascara because here's one instance when drugstore beats out the competition.

Try Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. It's a little bit more money, but it's the best mascara I've ever found. It goes on so smoothly and lasts forever. Also, since it's available at department stores, you can try it in the store to make sure that you like it, and the person at the clinique counter can help you pick what's best for you.

Ok i am like a pro at mascara lol. you should either go with Revlon Fabulash or Cover girl Lash Exact. It has to be black though or the results wont be the same or as dramatic. Ok so the fabulash adds the most volume, however lash exact makes the lashes more defined and longer. I would suggest lash exact over fabulash b/c it does not clump as easily.
hope this helps

Actually it depends if you are looking for a cheaper mascara or the price doesn't matter. The best, least costing is Lash Stylist by maybelline. It is amazing. Your lashes look as though they're fake, they look so perfect. Paul Mitchel is a bit more expensive but there's does almost the same but better!!

After looking for the "perfect mascara" over 40 years I have finally found it. Lash Stylist by Maybelline. I think the "secret" may be in the "comb-type" applicator. They'll probably stop making it now...that seems to happen to every product that is "my favorite"lol

My favorite mascara is Loreal Volumious. I used to work for lancome, and it is just as good, even better than their world famous mascara's... it does everything you mentioned above and lasts long (in the bottle & on your lashes). It leaves your lashes soft, not hard and brittle. It's the bomb! Especially for the price (under $10).

Love Maybelline Great Lash, very inexpensive, but has a great look. No smearing, clumps, or globs. Long lash look, and they have great colors.

Loreal's "Lash Out"! It's awesome! Never flakes, clumps and never smudges! It's the best by far!
