No and neither should you!
You are not a waste! Don't waste your life. Enjoy it. Look for the beauty that there is in the world. Appreciate the little things. You can be happy if you choose to be. It just takes work sometimes. We all feel blue now & then. We all doubt ourselves. It will get better. Make the most of your life. What are your dreams? Try to achieve them. What do you like to do? Do it! Learn, laugh, love, live! Life is too short not to have fun. Do something small right now to make yourself feel better! Treat yourself to something nice. Love yourself. You have to. Until you do you will not be happy. You are a valuable human being. Don't sell yourself short.
Take care.

Hey Bunny, Although you may not feel it right now, YOU are here on the planet for a purpose. That purpose may not have revealed itself yet, but it will. It might come to you tomorrow, or the day after. It may not reach out to you for a year or two. It's waiting for you to be ready. All of your life experiences from the time you were born to this moment in time have been preparing you just for this purpose. When you finally see it and grab it with both hands, it will empower you and you will empower others. It is a precious gift, not meant for anybody else in the world but you. It is your destiny. There is a plan for you! Your life is leading you to it. Nothing has been a waste. Down the track you will understand this and know every moment of your life has been important in the bigger scheme of things. Believe it. One day you will understand how true it is.

Without getting to psychologically involved, I'm guessing you are in school, probably living at home - but in your own room. You have your own cell phone, you have your own computer, you have spending money, you have friends, you go to movies, you go to restaurants, you never go hungry. I could list things for quite a while, I think you would agree. Do you know that more than half the population on earth do not have a toilet that flushes?
You could study a number of different subjects and take on a career. My wife worked very hard and now is a Computer Analyst for United Airlines. She is from China and grew up dirt poor, literally. The floor in the dwelling they lived was dirt. No cement, no wood. Her mother and father had almost no money. Her father never had an education and sold shoes from a cart on a street corner.
You have to take advantage of what you were fortunate enough to be born into. This country was born on warfare. You have to realize the freedoms you have as a result of those wars. A lot of soldiers died for us in order to have these freedoms.
We only have 1 life. The universe is billions of years old. If you live to be 100 years old, it is still a drop in the bucket compared to the universe. When we die, we will be dead for billions of more years. We are not here on earth too long, ya better hurry...

Our feelings often reflect self judgement. I am saddened to see that you feel like you are a waste right now, and I want to assure you that we all have felt that way from time to time. I would offer some words of encouragement, however. First, we are all entitled to our feelings, and the fact that you are down right now is okay. You should not judge yourself as unworthy simply because you feel that way right now. Second, you are judgeing yourself when you should be using that energy to get on with the rest of your life. Even if you are correct in your judgement of the value of your life in the past, (and I am not in any way suggesting that you are correct...), the past is passed, and you should be living in the present. Third, allow others to live their lives judging themselves, if they so choose- you, on the other hand should take control of your life, and get on with it. Remember, your actions in the past may have been reprehensible, you may have little to show for your past, but today is the first day of the rest of your life. Get on with life. Make the best of it. Be the best you that you can be. Hold your head high.

You realize that your life is your standard of value and what you need to do is experience the realization of your values and convictions This happens in art, in love, and your work.
