The works cited page on a report gives the teacher (or whoever is reading it) information about the sources you used to write that report. MLA format is a formal way of setting up your report pages.

MLA Requires this:
-One Inch Margins all around ( left, right, top, and bottom )
-Your Last Name [space] then Page number in upper right hand corner

For your Works cited page, the information about the sources you used should be written in Alphabetical Order by AUTHOR's LAST NAME. Also, punctuation plays a big part in MLA Works Cited Pages. All books should be cited the same way.

It should look like this:

Author's Last Name, First Name. Title of book (this should be underlined). Publishing city (if more than one is listed, write the first one): Publishing Company, Publishing year.

Example:

Sophocles. Antigone(underlined). New York: Oxford University Press, 1973.

If the information takes up more than one line, the lines after the first line should be indented.

I hope this helps!
