Yes, i do. Additionally, women who smoke while pregnant should be brought up on charges of child abuse, and then be involuntarily neutered. If they can't control such a vile, disgusting, unhealthy habit, how can they raise a child?

How far must the law go for you? Yes, second hand smoke is bad for children also for adults that don't smoke. But when you demand that the law come into my car or home to enforce a law, that is going way too far.
I consider adults that drink to excess in front of their children as having a "vile" habit. There are those who say, yes, but they are only hurting themselves. Way off base. Some who drink become monsters both at home & on our streets. Many are not caught until someone suffers from an accident which leaves the victime either dead or suffering for the rest of their lives. You don't advocate the law going into their homes or cars.
You cannot assume that smoking is the only bad habit that harms children.
You also fail to recoginze the fact that my home is my sactuary & the law is not allowed in without justification. My right under the Constitution.

Morally it may be the right thing to do, but legally I think it is wrong to pass such a law. At least, the home portion of this question. The government does not need to be "entering" our homes and telling us what we can and can't do inside them. If this is allowed, there is a very slippery slope that will allow them to start regulating other activities that you can do in your homes as well.
There are some states that have a law like this involving cars. I do not have a problem with that, as it is a very small confined space. The home, on the other hand, would be pushing the limits of the 4th amendment, IMO.
As I stated, morally, you are probably right. I think it is terrible that parents smoke in the home that their children live in. But, given the contitution, and the 4th Amendment, I still feel a law of this nature would be wrong.

Private property should be just that, private. However, I believe parents should be held responsible for their actions around children. Meaning smoking/drinking around children should not be tolerated in public or home. Many Americans smoke by choice, children inhaling second hand smoke has no choice.
My wife smokes, but she never smokes in our home or car for various reasons. #1 our child's health. Other reasons she don't want to destroy what we have by discoloring everything, leaving a nasty sticky film on everything and the gut turning smell it leaves.

I don't think it should be illegal, but it is not a good idea to smoke in any house, or any vehicle with children present.

That law went into effect , I think in January. Has the law ever defined a law, only argued when it gets to court. Actually it is none of my business , your business or any ones business what people do in their own home. As for as their vehicle, as for as smoking, I do not smoke, but I will never tell some one they should not do it. None of my business.

Yes I do. My house/car is smoke free. I know that we can't stop it everywhere but in your house and or car yes you can. When I have relatives visiting that smoke I advise them no smoking in my house you must go outside.

It isn't but it should be. Most people quit smoking when they have little children, but those who don’t can seriously hurt their kids because they are exposed to second hand smoking. By the way, I hate smoking.

Think more of the house you live in, smoking stains everything. Knowing that you would smoke outside as much as possible anyway.
