My sister is 19 and she was pregnant wit a lil gurl!!! she wasn't due until 02-17-07,is this premature or what she ain't 8 months yet and i am worried about her honestly< i really need to know she Had a lil gurl she named her Jaylynn she was 5lbs and 10oz 18.5 inches. can you tell me whatts up!!!!!!!!11

Look girl i have a lil gurl and she was born 2 months early her due date was in june 19, 05 but she was born april 17 ,05 she weighed 2lbs and 4oz she was small but now she is a healthy big gurl!!!!!! she is almost 2 years old your sisters baby will be fine!!!!!!!!! When do you have your baby e-mail me!!!!

I'm sure your sisters baby will be just fine, babies born after 37 weeks are considered to be full term, my twin boys arrived at 32 weeks so were premature and had the problems premature babies have but are now big healthy 10 yr olds, being born at 38 weeks your sisters baby should be well enough developed to cope with life outside the womb

She's one week off her due date thats not premi. My girls were born 8wks premi and were 4lb 4 & 3lb 8. 5lb 10 is a little small for a full term baby but it does depend on the size of the mother. Also if she received adequate prenatal care. I wouldn't worry about her coming a week before due just love her and help your sister when you can. Enjoy your neice

thats funny i have a 4 month old son. he came 8 days early but he was 5lbs 10 oz. 18.5 inches. he is just a little behind in size compared to other babies his age. he is about the size of a 2 1/2 month old and weighs 12.6 now!!! He is just fine!!! It is ok!!!

they usually aren't considered premature unless thay are more than 2 weeks before the due date. She does seem a little small, my little guy was 5 weeks premature and weighed 5 lb. 7 oz. and he was 18.5 inches. She's probably just dainty, but not premature.

Premies are born everyday hun. 5lb 10oz is healthy for a premie, I am sure she will be fine. As long as there are no medical issues the baby is At healthy weight. Congrats, you are now an Aunt.

My friend had her baby 4 weeks early and he came out just fine and is very healthy. Your sister had her baby a week early, that's not bad at all and if the baby is doing good , breathing and eating on her own there's nothing to worry about.

Don't be worried I had a preemie as well I had my daughter at 35 weeks and she weighed 4lbs 12 oz and now a month later she's a healthy 7lb baby.

my daughter was 10 days early and she wasnt premature and also was 6 lbs 15 oz 20 inches long...so no i dont think she was premature

What's up is the baby is here and it must have been her time to be born,some ladies have 5lbs. babies and they are full turn, is there anything to worry about, pray that she is a good mother, help her when you can,they will both be fine
