Of course I'd vote for him, and I don't believe he's flip-flopped. Flip-flopping is when you change your position just because it is better for your situation, for votes, not because you've had a life changing experience. The things that Romney has changed his views on are easily explainable and meaningful. It is not a bad thing for someone to believe one way and then, because of some experience, they believe another. That is what life is about. If you have a reason for your change, and can pinpoint your change to some moment in time, then why should we hold that against someone. We should respect that person even more for their honesty and their realness. If there is anyone that hasn't changed a view on some matter in their life I would be surprised. This flip-flop stuff is just politics trying to make someone look bad.

Is it OK to discriminate against someone for public office because of their religion? Yes, if you think their religion will cause them to do things, enact laws, etc. which you don't agree with. No if it's just "I don't like Mormons (or blacks, or whatever)." I'm a Mormon so Romney being one isn't a problem for me, but I won't be voting for him because I disagree with too many of his political ideas.

No... you can't discriminate against anyone for any reason except political decisions. I won't specifically vote for Romney just because he is Mormon either (I am Mormon). I may vote for him because he is a good political leader. Just like I won't vote for HIllary - it won't be because she's a woman, it will be because she's an idiot.

Mitt Romney's family is one of the higher 'mucky-mucks' of the LDS organization, and he will no doubt bring much of that influence into his politicking. The church teaches that ultimately the Profit in Salt Lake City calls all the morality shots (not jesus), and if Mitt's a temple-going mormon, he's made certain 'covenants' that exclude national priorities. He's a good person, but not presidential material. We desparately need a true leader and statesman, not a right wing politician - again.

I don't mind him being mormon But he has flip flopped on issues.
there are certain religions that would give me pause, like Muslim, wiccan, satan worshipers. but not Mormons it is a traditional american sect, and I think they can be loyal to the country and their religion too.

After experiencing the religious right, anyone with a religious
agenda doesn't have a chance with me.
Probably Obama included.
