How's Kobe the best scorer and there are players that have 2,3, or maybe 4 scoring titles and last year Kobe FINALLY got his 1st? There are players that have an higher ppg% then Kobe, there are players that have an higher career ppg% then Kobe, there are players that have an higher career playoffs-finals ppg% then Kobe, and there are players that are more consistent scorers then Kobe(Kobe could have a game low as 10, 11 points but turn around and score 50, but there are players that never see 10, 11, they'll consistently stay in their range). When it comes to the great scorers in todays NBA their all pretty much in the same league. There is no player today that dominates the scoring title or scoring period above the other players like The GREAT MJ did in his era. Kobe isn't even leading the league in scoring as of now, and please don't say it's because he passing the ball now. Because MJ passed(holds The Bulls franchise record for assist) the ball and still dominated at scoring.

I'm not a big Kobe fan, after he cheated on his wife I didn't really like the guy, but i would say that some people consider him the best scorer because he has averaged more then 20 points a game each year since the 1999-2000 season

omg what is wrong with you and these kobe questions!? its like you are completely obsessed with this guy! who told you that kobe was the best scorer in the nba???? its obvious that you dont know much about kobe or the lakers so to get all the answers to your kobe questions, why dont you do a little research on him and maybe watch a few lakers games before you start making arguments like yours since you love the guy so much.
look... theres a reason as to why kobe is playing the way he is playing and its all due to the fact that he has grown as a player and as a person. he's been in this league for 11 years and is only 28 years old but he is still one of the best in the nba right now. even non-kobe fans will tell you that. so please... just stop with the kobe isnt this or that stuff because it really is getting old and pathetic.

He is the best scorer for quite a few reasons. One, he can make shots that no other player in the game i capable of making, and he hits near imposible shots quite often. When i say near impossible, i mean its a crazy shot that when you see you go DAMN. Two, he has a killer instict and when he is in the zone, no1 can stop him. Look at the Jazz - Lakers game a couple weeks back. He goes 9-9 from the floor and 10-10 from the free throw in the 3rd quarter and scores 30 points in that quarter alone. He was being guarded by kirlenko, a taller defender and one of the best defensive players in the league. Three, he can change the whole outcome of the game by himself. Look at his 81 point game. What most people don't realize is that he brought the lakers from down 20 points all by himself. He took over when his team needed him too. You say thats a one in a million game? Well look at his 62 point game against the Mavericks, and that took 3 quarters. That game could have given him 90 points if he played in the 4th. All of these points make Kobe Bryant the best scorer in the NBA.

He's the best scorer in the NBA for the same reason Iverson was one of the best back when he was with Philli, he's the only scorer on the team.
Not only is he a pretty good player (i wouldnt say amazing but he's good), he also has to carry the entire Lakers frenchise on his shoulders. When the Lakers need to score points, they'll usually try and get the ball (by passing) to Kobe, and not to anyone else.

First of all people should stop making the comparison between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, they played in different eras and the people that played are different. "Things always gets better over time", new strategies and stuff like that, so basketballball players get better over time, they jump higher, the shoot more actively, and they find new ways of playing the game, so Kobe Bryant has to face a stronger defence and stronger league as well, unlike Michael Jordan who had to face only like Karl Malone, Charles Barkeley etc. Michael Jordan DIDN't really have to play against SHOWTIME, and he started passing in the later part of his career, and then he was 30 something, and Kobe is only 28 right now. Plus, Michael Jordan won the championships with Scottie Pippen, and even though Odom is good, he isn't as developed as Scottie Pippen was. So by today standards I say Kobe Bryant is the best player to play in the NBA, and I think you are just one of those Kobe haters.

kobe bryant is NOT the best scorer in the NBA. if you like stats, then Allen Iverson happens to be the best and most proficient scorer in the present NBA. He averages a career 28.1 which is 4th all time in NBA history.
