I've not spoken to my close female friend for 2 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over her. She only wanted to be friends.
I've tried to get bck in touch as I've got over her now and I'm interested in another girl.She's been ignoring my attempts to get in touch-I've apologised if I wasn't tactful in the way I said I wanted no contact for awhie
My friends have told me that she's told them that she's ignoring me 'AS WE ARE ON A BREAK' - MEANING?
Also she thinks that I think of us as a couple!
Why would she say this - especially as I'm the one who wanted no contact TO GET OVER HER!!!
Advice
I just don't understand why she's lying!!!

Sounds like shes hurt to me...I think the way she looks at it is, that you have got over her by blanking her and now your ready to be friends so you talk 2 her? Maybe shes not over you yet. Just send her a text, explaining everything, what went wrong, why u had to stay away and that u want to be friends. Let her get in touch with you. I think by the sounds of it she needs time n space. Ithink you owe it to her, your over her, doesnt mean to say shes over you. If she chooses not to txt bk, leave it and concentrate on this other girl. Dont push the lying thing- as it will scare her off from making any contact. Time is a virtue...plenty of time to make it up to old flames x

I had a situation very similiar to this one except I choose not to ignore her to get over her. We remained very close friends while I got interested in another girl. I think your friend was hurt by your actions because you were able to throw away the friendship for 2 months, no matter your reasons and how much you needed them, she will be upset with you. The last thing she wanted was for it to be broken off. Unfortunately I think she liked you too, but your close friendship she was too scared to change because of the new expectations involved etc... She wanted to keep you close but not ahve anything until she was ready so when you went out and found someone else, you are technically no longer interested in her and it upset her to the point of lying, everyone likes to know that someone likes them. So, how you solve it is by sending a text etc, reaching out ot her to try to talk, because it seems to me you really value this friendship too, don't let it go by, but be prudent about it too, and still go after that girl you interested in now. It'll be hard but it's life and have fun.

She may not be lying, but may genuinely believe that your approach is because you want to be back together again. If you truly just want to be friends and no more then do not push it. It will either happen naturally or it won't. And, sadly, trying to force the issue will do more harm than good.

It sounds like she is hurt and she does want a relationship with you and she does not want to let you back in as a friend because she may be hurt again. GOOD LUCK

How do you know she's lying?You only have second hand reports of what she said.I think you have behaved in a very immature way.If I was her ,I wouldn't bother with you again.
