are you seeing a doctor? he will schedule your first ultrasound around 12 weeks. Do you have any basis for your worries are they just things you worry about. Just trust in your doctor and anything you can control will be ok.

That is VERY normal. At one point I had an 'intuition' that my baby wouldn't make it. I was very paraniod. Every wanted pregnancy feels like this. After the 1'st trimester (12-14weeks) the chance of miscarriage goes down 80%. After 20 weeks your pregnancy is stable (any problems and your body would have not continued). Still born is extremely rare and usually cause by an accident. Miscarriages after the 1'st trimester are about 1%. Where I live you can only get one ultrasound around 18 weeks or more weeks. I am now 22 weeks with my second and as my hormones calmed down, so did the fears. But it doesn't end there. After your baby is born you worry about SIDS and other things.. my daughter is 7 and I still do 'breathing checks'... lol. It is very normal. Congradualations...

Your doctor will arrange the first ultrasound, but that depends on where you live.
I thought about losing my baby all the time when I was pregnant, you aren't alone in feeling that way.
I don't think I ever really got over it until my daughter was born, but even then I was plagued with doubt and worry.
All you can do is start thinking positively, imagine your baby being born healthy and well.
You never stop worrying about your child, from the moment of conception! At least your worry shows that you are a good mommy already!
Please feel free to contact me if you want someone else to listen to your worries...it can help to have someone else know what is going through your mind :)

It is natural to have these fears, specially during the first trimester. Normally you get your first ultrasound at about 12 weeks (sometimes later). Try to relax and think positive.
Is there a specific reason for your worries? Have you had a previous sad experience? There is always a risk, but also stress is not good for your baby.
If you continue feeling uneasy, talking to your doctor will give you more peace of mind. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Any woman with sense will be scared. Unfortunately miscarriage is common but people don't like to mention it so you don't realise how common it is. Distressing though it is it many women go on to have several children. Stillborn is much less common.
Its a matter of luck but mostly your luck will be good. I hope the ultrasound goes well.

I think it's perfectly natural and normal to worry like this. People always worry, and when there's someone else to think about, too, the worries seem so much bigger and more intrusive. In exactly the same way, pretty much every new mother spends time checking her baby is still breathing while the baby is sleeping quite happily in its cot.
Keep yourself healthy, follow all the available advice you can about how to have a good pregnancy, and try to enjoy this time. It's natural to worry, but try not to let it take over your life.
Best wishes, and congratulations on your pregnancy!

when my step mom was pregnant[she just had her baby on december 20th =] ] i was so scared about everything and i think she was too. she went to the doctor a lot to see if the baby was doing ok. what we did was took all the sonograms and put them in an album. try and do things to keep the bad things in the back of your mind. crafts are always fun. when we picked out a name and found out the gender we painted letters for her name. if something were to happen doctors will take good care of you and the baby. most likely nothing will happen so you should worry. good luck with your new baby.

Awwwwww, I am sorry! :( I think everyone is different. For me, I thought about it ALL of the time when I was pregnant with each of my 3 children. However, I had 3 miscarriages before my 1st, one before my 3rd and again after I had her. I dont think I could ever not think about it, but you just have to have faith that everything will work out ok.
Oh, and its typical to not get your 1st ultrasound until around 20 weeks unless you have had problems in the past. I know I have one in each trimester....

As a mom who has had a miscarriage or two I can answer for myself that it is a worry. You worry but you also have to let go at the same time. There is only so much you can control. You can control your diet and how healthy you are and the rest is genetics and the variables that happen when sperm meets egg.
