Hi everyone! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and I am having STRONG feelings i may be carrying TWINS. I want to explain why and please give me some input!
1.) I tested positive barely 2 weeks after my last period. ( when i should have been ovulating ) but right after I ceased the use of birth control (nuva ring) - which sometimes makes you release more than one egg.
2.) am or feel like already showing some.
3.) having dreams of having twins
4.) EXTREMELY fatigued
5.) at the first exam the doctor said my uterus felt like i was 10 weeks. (i was 7)
I am going to try to attach a picture of the ultrasound- on the right i see a little thing that may be another sac.![baby](http://farm1.static.flickr.com/134/385725210_e4a53a39bf_o.jpg)
if it doesnt work, search for my user name B_A_Dream

During the ultra sound, it was very quick and the doctor did not seem to look any further than she did. If you can see the picture I attached, there is another " blob" on the right side.

i too tested positve 2 weeks after my period, i am a mother of twins, but so did my friend who just had a single baby.
i didn't start showing till about the 5th or 6th month.... a few of my pregnant friends have started showing much earlier...
hate to say this but the dreams dont really mean that you are going to... just your hormones are crazy!!!
sometimes the uterus feels larger, but you can actually just have a single one as well.
most pregnant woman are very tired during that time, so this is not a odd thing in single babies either...
since you did already get the ultrasound and your doctor didn't say anything about twins, then i would say that you probably aren't. they told me right at my first ultrasounds that she saw 2 heartbeats and we were able to hear both of them as well! so sorry hun, but if your doctor didn't say so, then you are probably just going to have one. just as big of a blessing!!!
at your next appointment bring it up to your doctor, she will tell you what is going on more accuratly than any of us can.
check out this website with ultrasound pictures, here is one of twins at 8 weeks

You could be expecting twins...I believe that intuition is very strong.
I joked with my father in law that I was having twins, then
I found out at 16 weeks that I was carrying fraternal twins!
I've always wondered if subconsciously I knew!
The dreams of having twins can just be because you are thinking about it a lot and pregnancy dreams are common.
I did need maternity clothes much faster than I thought I would.
Looking at the ultrasound, I don't think you're having twins, but then again, I'm not an ultrasound tech. Even with ultrasounds, sometimes one twin hides behind the other, and on visits to the obstetrician, often they find the heartbeat, listen to it, and that's it...they don't go looking for ANOTHER heartbeat, that could be there, because they don't expect to locate another heartbeat.
Twins heartbeats can also beat in rhythm so they can be missed.
Just ask them to listen extra for heartbeats on your next visit.

Chances are you are not. The two sacs are usually right next to each other and so both will be clearly seen.
You are normally very very sick too as the hormones are going mad.
It's possible that you were already pg when you started trying or just happen to be carrying lots of water.
Best of luck though, hope all goes well, and sorry to say but the tiredness thing is normal, and goes on for about 60 years! Lol

Well ceasing birth control can make you release an egg sooner than normal, so I wouldn't go by the #1 reason. But, having worse fatigue and worse morning sickness can be a sign. Your doctor should be ablt to tell if your carrying twins from your ultrasound, if not get another doctor!

if you've had an ultrasound the doc would tell you if there are two! I dreamt all the time about my triplet girls (yes, I was freaking out) when I was pregnant. Thank goodness I had all three of my kids one at a time!
