Were some Germans wanted by the Allied forces given refuge by Afghanistan after World War II?

I have heard this story by many people but have been unable to verify its authenticity. The story I have been told involves some German generals who were in Russia throughout the war and escaped to Afghanistan after its conclusion. The Afghan ruler at the time refused to hand them over to Allied Powers saying that they (the Germans) were our "Guests" and therefore cannot be handed over.

no thats not possible to verify unless yoyu actually were there and germans in russia i think they would have been shot if they were caught
