1.) lightening takes the shortest route to the ground - men are taller.
2.) no offence, but men do tend to see a storm and stand under a tree.
3.) they spend more time outside, especially in the countryside, they spend time working outside, working on the land, building, more labour intensive, and outsidey jobs.
4.) Most storm chasers are men, standing in a storm with a huge metal camera and tripod isn't the best place to be.
5.) women are more sensible, and don't try to prove they are brave etc. by standing out in the storm for no reason.
6.) men have the 'it's only a bit of rain' attitude.

Because we are outside more and less likely to go inside in inclement weather. Whereas a women migh think, "hey, I should go inside since it looks like lightning and thunder is about to start." A man would think, "I probably won't get struck by lightning today."

no no its to do with the genetic make up males have a stronger positive electron field studies have detected this so lightning is attracted easily (being negative charge) also men have greasy hair and this is a strong atrraction too lastly its the diet men keep and too much beer however let me add that women are far more prone to whirwind attack

Not many women carry wallets and cigarette cases that are made of metal and thats why more men get struck.

Because lighting is attracted to the tallest object in the area and men are usually taller than women.

2. Because they spend more time working and playing outside, holding metal objects such as tools and golf clubs, riding metal things such as tractors, etc.?
I wasn't aware of the statistic, but my guess would be the second of the choices ...
