Last night I had one of the most frightneing experiences of my life. I got pulled over for having a broken headlight. The cop came up to my window and I started to explain why (that i got in an accident and havent had enough money to fix it yet), and he kept interrupting me, trying to accuse me of not telling the truth. I got pretty annoyed and asked him to please stop interrupting me. Then he said "don't give me attitude", and I said I wasnt and that I was just annoyed that he was interrupting me when I was telling my story. THen he told me to get out of the car and he was like "follow me" and walked to behind his car. He punched me in the stomach and then started kicking me when I was on the ground. THats all I remember. When I woke up, I was in my neighbors house and I guess they brought me inside when they saw me laying on the street. What can I do? I would like to find the cop who did this but I don't remember too well what he looked like.

I already went to the police station to tell them what happened, with my bruises and stitches and all, and they were really sympathetic and said they would look into and give me a call but havent called back yet. Im guessing they wont find anything because this cop probably does this sort of thing a lot and hasnt been caught yet, meaning they wont catch him this time either.

You guys are assholes. You're telling me that I am not allowed to post other questions? There's a lot of **** that happens to me every week and I am on here about 5 hours a day since its all I can do at work. It's really not that important whether or not you believe me, but I find it annoying and disrespectful that a police officer almost killed me and all you can do is accuse me of lying. You're just as bad as the cop who attacked me. You'll be happy to know that the Police Dept in my town is doing an investigation. **** all of you.

Omigod, how horrible! It sickens me to imagine what you went through with the bad cop, but then I think the jerks here on Yahoo Answers went and made matters worse for you. You've obviously been making use of Yahoo Answers as an outlet for a lot of things on your mind, but this was definitely a case where this was probably not a good idea. Yahoo Answers is good if you're able to distance yourself from nasty comments and be able to just sift through for the helpful advice. But in this case, you had a really traumatic experience and you need 100% support, which you can't get here.
I can so easily see how this event happened. I once participated in an intense multi-week program run by our local police department, called Citizens Police Academy. It came with the opportunity to do a "ride-along" for an entire shift, which I eagerly took advantage of. I got to sit in the passenger seat besides the cop for the entire night and, indeed, it was a very enlightening experience.
The cop was certainly a stand-up guy, but I clearly detected an element about his enjoyment of being in authority that rubbed me the wrong way. I got to watch as he pulled over a few speeders and such that night and it was definitely an education. He CLEARLY favored drivers who were immediately apologetic, which was more likely to get them off with a warning. Explanations and defensiveness was seen as having an "attitude." Knowing that my own instincts would probably be to want to explain something, this was a powerful lesson in dealing with powerful people.
Meanwhile, I've got a son who has always had such an "attitude" when dealing with adults in authority. It's hard to come from a home that treats him with respect all of the time and then have to deal with people who are ready to assume the worse about you if they don't know you. It's a very volatile situation. It's the innocent young person's natural tendency to want to be defensive, but it's exactly the wrong way to behave with a cop on a power trip, I'm sorry to say. People think that this type of behavior only happens while Driving While Black, but this is a case of Driving While Young. It's a truly horrible, traumatic experience to have your trust violated like that.
Asking you to follow him to the BACK of his car was probably for the exact reason that he had a dash cam and needed to get you out of view of it. It's also not 100% certain that he called in the stop before approaching your car. However, others are right that a lawyer would back you up and make sure this case was pursued in a forthright manner.
But aside from that, it sounds as though you could use some counseling to get over how you were treated. It's such a shame that other Yahoo Answers users can't see your other questions for what they are. I'm no softie, and I see a lot of fakers on this site. But your questions show a consistency of an intelligent kid who has fun posing some off-the-wall questions. I have yet to run across any of your question or answer entries that suggested you were anything but a decent kid, albeit one who displays some snarky humor. People should note that you offer to help folks for free with computer issues.
If people want to see a real faker who plays with people's emotions, they should check out the question history of bobbyr19130, the guy who posted this question:

You are so full of B.S. For the life of me I can't understand why people on Yahoo Answers fall for this crap. Check out his previous posts such as; "How can I get a Hard***?" and "How is cocaine bad for your body?". Give me a break. I hate it when people use Answers to project some second hand slander.
First off you don't lose consciousness from a punch in the gut, you just lose your lunch. Secondly the way you described your complaint is not at all how police departments handle this situation. Lastly, cops have dash cams retard.
If this were true you could get a lawyer and sue. Since it's not you are wasting your time on Yahoo Answers. Get a life.

If you have any bruising take pictures, call the local police station and IA because they will need to start an investigation. Make sure that you have written everything down that you remember and ask your neighbors to do the same. As to in what condition they found you in and what time. Do not wait another day. But remember though not all cops are bad. Be careful.

you need an attorney. Cops like this are not likely to have done this to you alone. The dept. knows who stopped you because he had to call in the stop. You'll probably find a long list of violations against this COWARD. As has been in most cases I've experianced with these idiots. I'm not saying all cops are crazy, just ALOT of them.

You could complain to the local police department's internal affairs. There will be a record of where all the cops were last night.

This is a BS story.
If it wasn't, you could get the duty records of all area law enforcement officials, and determine which officer was in that area at that given time. if they pulled you over, they would have had to have checked in, and it would be a matter of public record.
