I loooove going to art supply stores!!! But the best place to find art supplies at much better prices is on the internet. Blick's is an amazing supply house. I like their specials, incredible prices on great stuff. I would not normally buy something just to try out from a store, but they make it affordable. They may have a Dallas in person location, they do here in L.A. But try them at www.blicks.com and give them a try!!! You can find other supply houses trying the yahoo search, too.

Asel Art Supply is your best bet. If not, ask them who might.
Asel has various outlets, the one I know best is on Cedar Springs near Maple not far from downtown.
It doesn't show up on Hobby Lobby's internet ordering site craftsetc.com, but you might try other stores than the one you tried (ask which are bigger) and you might try Michaels or one of the big Joanns.
Worse comes to worse, order it online.
