most colleges these days are indoor. the air temperature is probably in the end up to maintenance. some days you could boycott and open the doors and windows.

If you have a tight budget for schooling funds a community college can be a great way to be able to take your gen ed classes and work part time to save money for the last two years of college at a 4 year college or university. Just make sure that you know what college you want to transfer to so that you can make sure that they will take your transfer credits. Community colleges usually don't offer the social side of college, but they have decent classes. If you want to go to college to learn then community colleges are a good way to go, if you want to party then some may say they are boring. Be a learner, not a partier it will get you farther in life and school.

Yes they are! They are a great way to transcend into the free from adult life. After High School, going to college can be an overwhelming change and going to a community college can help you into that transition. It gets you prepared for University life by allowing you to stay in between complete freedom and that comfort zone you had in High School. It is also much cheaper than an University and you will get as much out of the classes as you would in an University. Also, my advice to you is if you go to a community college, try and maintain a 3.5 GPA so you can join the Phi Theta Kappa. It is a honor society for community colleges and when you transfer you can get so many great scholarships for being in it. You will be a PTK member for life once you are in it and you will have the seal of PTK on your diploma and it will be on your transcript. This club gives you letters of recommendations for college and future employers. It is a great club that will take you far places!

They are just like any other schools. You will definetly save money so in that sense they are definitely "cool." But, instead of wondering if they are cool or not maybe you should be asking yourself questions that are more important like: Are they cost effective?, or What will I major in?, where should I transfer?, What CC in my area is best. "Cool" doesnt matter, you getting your education and occuring the least amount of debt as possible is though.
FYI: When you transfer your GPA doesnt start @ 0. If all your credits are tranferrable you will have the same GPA.

First of all it's inexpensive than a four year college.
and you still have the chance to count your credits when you transfer for a 4 year college.
if you think to transfer, i recommend you to take the hardest courses in CC, while they are more harder in a 4-year C.
i.e: if you are science major, take calculus, chemistry physics or even biology...
so later you transfer you won't worry about them. But be aware, your GPA will start from 0 when you tranfer CC to C. so its also logic when you take the difficult courses at CC,
To Sum up, i can say that CC is really cool...

not really, but they have clubs and other things for students to do. Most people just show up for class and then go home or go to work after that.
