My friend got himself a MacBook Pro. I've got a HP. He won't stop blabbing how much better his laptop is. I'm really tired of it, because it is so childish. And he won't stop, it's been going on for weeks.

Maybe a little jelaous. I can afford to buy one too, but it would not be practical, because I use many programmes that don't run on Mac.

Can you:

Surf the Internet?

Read/Write email?

Play Games?

Install Programs/ execute them?

You see, both of you can do the same everyday things, so don't worry about it. Some people have different preferences and that's fine. You should set up a complex network including a vpn running L2TP over IPsec and ask him why his Mac is having such a difficult time, each of the computers have their strengths and weaknesses, it's all about what you are trying to accomplish. You can find many pro's and con's about each.

Just tell you know he has a new computer and you were thinking about getting one like that but, all the programs you use won't work on that type of computer. So that is why you are with the computer you have now. Everyone is jealous some time because someone has something we want it is normal just tell that you are glad he has a new computer and that your just works just as good just a different kind. I hope that makes you feel better.

Tell him that your HP cost less, can run more programs and doesn't automatically label you a total elitist nerd, just be owning it.
