Bettman is the bigger joke.

Can we get Gary Bettman out of here already? What a pathetic schedule he has come up with. Wow, my beloved Sharks get to play the Kings and Coyotes a gazillion times but I won't see Crosby, Ovechkin, or the Sabres for a couple of years. Then there was the All Star Game fiasco. Who the heck watches the game during the week? Not to mention, there really was no sports game that weekend since the Super Bowl was the following week, so why not schedule it on that Sunday? 76% drop in ratings says it all. Then not only is it on the weekday, but the NHL is televised on the Versus network? How many people even have that channel? There was a time when NHL was watched by more people than the NBA was. Oh yea, that was also the pre-Bettman era.

Bettman's the bigger joke. Ever since the lockout, and the rule changes that have followed, I haven't wanted to watch even one NHL game.

As for Selig, he's far from perfect, but at least he hasn't completely destroyed the MLB the way Bettman did the NHL.

In my opinion Bettman has done what he can! While hockey is an extremely fast intense sport it still suffers a weak mass appeal. Hockey players seem to be getting better contracts (money wise) but you have to sell tickets to pay for these players.
So marketing is an issue. I do not think the marketing is working.
As for Mr. Bud I think he should audition for the next sequel to DUMB AND DUMBEST. The whole Barry bonds home run thing and obviously Steroids has hurt baseball to a level people do not realize. It has to be hard for a parent to describe to a child why a huge baseball record (total home runs) will be tainted by the "alleged" Steroid use by Bonds. Selig seems to have his head in the sand on this one. I for one am tired hearing the same minutia on the subject on all of the Sports Radio Shows.

Selig cancelled post-season, but Bettman took him off the hook (as the worst sports commissioner ever) by cancelling a whole season.

Neither is doing their sport the least bit of good.

Hands down Bettman by far. He's turn hockey into a wussy sport with his 1,000 penalties. The new point system sucks!
Bettman blows!!

At least Selig has not screwed up the game of baseball.

Bettman!! hands down!! He's ruined the NHL. Being a wings fan that I am, for some reason he wants to make the red wings vs. blue jackets into a "Great" rivalry.... heck the only rivalry either Ohio State and Michigan care about happens every November to decide who goes to the Rose Bowl or the National Championship game.

considering this textual content is again from 1997 Bud Selig grow to be probably attempting to entice both the Rays or the Diamondbacks of coming to large apple as a nil.33 crew extra to that state on the time that would have tousled the both the yank and nationwide league in the attitude of doing it
