I'm assuming you're referring to the cardgame Magic: the Gathering? If that's the case you have some options. You can find a local card/comic shop that sells cards...they tend to be the most expensive but you get to see what you're buying and get them on the spot. You can also buy cards from an online store like http://www.starcitygames.com http://www.trollandtoad.com and http://www.anycraze.com Online websites are usually a little cheaper than your local card and comic shop, but you don't get your cards instantly and there are more risk involved (like your cards getting lost in the mail).

The cheapest way to buy cards are from places like http://www.ebay.com and http://www.magictraders.com . these places aren't actual card shops but mediums where amateur sellers list items they have for sale. This is usually your cheapest method because it is also the one with the greatest risk. Not only do you run the risk of your cards being lost in the mail but you also run the risk of doing business with someone who has the intent to take your money but not give you what you pay for.

The best place to buy cards is by buying it from other players... these are preferable to shops because they will probably have cheaper prices than in stores. Secondly, they will probably also be able to help you understand the card you want before you buy it, because i said they are also players therfore know would probably know what its advantages are and disadvantages. as for the sites that sell magic... I would suggest checking out e-bay for cards and scouting for the cards that are not being bid upon and are being neglected. ...... but as for a sure way of buying cards i suggest you go to your local shop and go talk to the other players for cards and if they dont have the card you want.... then buy it directly from the store.

there aren't really that many magic stores around anymore, but you could find them there. also try checking out your local party store; they may have some in with all of the party favors.
