Mustang. RWD, lots of torque, cheap to buy, and lots of parts available so you can modify it for drifting - remember, the whole front suspension will need replacing because the wheels do not turn far enough to hold the car at such an acute angle (this problem comes up with all production cars.) The most common reason for losing the car when in a skid is not being able to turn the steering wheel far enough.

something rear wheel drive, a used rx7, a used mustang, etc
you have to make modifications such as differntials, axles, tires etc that will cost thousands
go to a drifting school, some of them have cars that you can rent so you wont be wasting tens of thousands if you arent as good as you expected
