I'm 32 and would like to have a baby one day. We haven't "tried" but the fact that we've had unprotected sex for 6 years makes us wonder if there might be a problem. First 3 years he had a varicocele. Then had the surgery. So 3 years without varicocele. Is it silly to assume that just because I haven't gotten pregnant with the pull out method that there might be fertility issues?

I wouldn't make that assumption. Could be that you're just "lucky" (or "unlucky" depending on how you look at it). Maybe you're just good at it!

I wouldn't worry until you've been actively trying for a year with no results. Good luck!

It is so very easy to find out for goodness sake. Take your man and have him tested he should have had a follow up test after having the reversal anyway otherwise what was the point of it. It is just a little specimen jar and a few minutes compared to some of the tests that a woman can undergo for fertility testing. Luv 32 isnt getting any younger either I say this with respect as I am 40 so dont be offended but come along now time is a ticking

I would say no, It's surprising though that you haven't gotten pregnant. I got pregnant from that a couple of times, but I got pregnant form most methods too, A fertility problem is most often measured by trying to conceive for a year to eighteen months without success. So you probably won't know until you try, or have test done by your doctors.

I would hate for people to read this and think that "oh wow, pulling out is effective" .

That being said, it certainly is possible that pulling out has kept you from getting pregnant, and you are one of the lucky ones (if that is what you want, of course). I do not think it means its an infertility issue, but then again, it COULD be. I dont think there is any right answer to your question. You simply wont ever know unless you have some tests run.

No... it's possible. I thought that about my previous relationship... 10 years of unprotected sex, no pregnancy.
If there was a fertility issue... it was his issue, because I now have 9 month old baby with someone else.
