I am trying to find some good hose, (sheer to waist, black, size B) or thigh highs. I would like them to be affordable, soft and reasonably durable. I have been buying "no nonsense" but they are neither soft nor durable.

The best 'sheer to waist' pantyhose you will find, for the price, will be various styles by Hanes, L'eggs Sheer Energy (sheer panty style), or Silkies brand sheer to waist pantyhose. Of course the higher end brands will be nicer, like Victoria Secrets, but they are a little pricey if you plan on buying several and wearing them often. If this is for a special occassion then yes, go with Victoria Secret's. If not, buy one of the three brands I first mentioned. L'eggs will be the least expensive of these. And Silkies will only come mail order and after you join their membership program. I really think you will enjoy any of these styles and brands better than your no nonsense. No nonense wear like iron! I agree with you that they are neither soft or durable. As far as thigh highs go, again, the best is Victoria Secrets, but you might want to look into Hanes Silk Reflections too. Hope this helps!

I like thigh highs, I usually buy them from Victoria's Secret, but cheaper brands like vasserette and hanes her way can be found at a retail store.

try HUE, they have very cute thigh highs, and some cute sheer hose too about 12.oo a pair
