Why are men attracted to women who treat them like dirt ?

Ok- I was in a 5 yr relationship and I treated my Bf like king- I cared so much, I called him everyday. I surrpised him with b-day cakes etc ( u get the idea). BUT HE STILL LEFT ME, after how nice i was to him.

Now i'm in a 2 year relationship with a guy who treats me like a princess even though I am not as loving toward him as I was w/ my ex. I just changed my tactics not because I dont love him. I love/loved both of them equally. I just believe men are more into women who treat them like dirt.

Not every man is hard-wired the same. I myself had an experience that called for the immediate break-up of a relationship I had with an ex-girlfriend. It wasn't that I didn't love her it was that in no way shape or form was I going to put up with the verbal abuse.Some people never leave relationships like that because they are afraid. They actually perfer the " security" of having someone around then to spend time " alone".This can go either way with a man in a abusive relationship or a woman in an abusive relationship. It boils down to two things. Realizing when you have something good and keeping her or him, and if you are in a bad relationship stepping up and gaining the self esteem and the kahunas to break it off.

same situation here- but i have learned to appreciate being treated like a princess- think about long term and life long ... do you really wanna be treated like a POS, forever?- the reason this happens bc you prolly like drama and with the **** bag there is ALWAYS drama which keeps you coming back for more- appreciate the nice one you'll be happier in the end- I AM

It's because they have so self esteem and low self worth. They think there only worthy of women who will mistreat them, so they reject and are afraid of being treating any differently. You can switch male for female here, and the answer is the same.

Almost all dynamics of relationships go back to childhood relationships with the opposite gender parent (and sometimes same gender if they were the primary caregiver). A man who likes to be treated like garbage probably had a mother who dominated and criticized him. He has no frame of reference for a nurturing, loving female, so he doesn't no how to respond or interpret your actions. It all goes back to our parents...

Not all men are like that, so please don't generalize. I personally can't stand loud, aggressive, dominant, critical women.

It could be because they have low self-esteem and feel they don't deserve to be treated well. It's the same with women who are attracted to men who treat them badly.

Its because they like the chase and like to be kept on their toes after u. if a guy knows that he has u good then he won't put much effort into the relationship, he'll get bored of the atention. but if he knows that he has to put in effort and has to work on keepin u interested he'll appreciate u more.

Its hard to explain buts its not like we like girls who treat us bad is that sometime we like a woman who can call us up on our BS. If a woman always treas you good no matter what you do than you start feeling bored and want to move on.
