well, ya can make it loud, but then again its gonna spend even more time in the shop than a chevy typically does.running a straight pipe,or modifying/removing the catalytic convertor is illegal in all 50 states and will come with a hefty fine when your caught. also the 2.2 was not built to run without these components in place.frankly your best bet is to leave it alone, or get a car with at least a 3.0 v6

if you have some cash add a performance exhaust
if you are cheap take off the exhaust pipe from (and include) the catalytic converter to the muffler, its will use more fuel and make your car acclerate slower but its LOUD
