descriminated against women a long time ago, they think they have the right to descriminate against men today? We are never going to move forward if a group descriminates against another all the time.

Wow virgodoll you are an insult to women. You say you have reasons to descriminate against men? Well that's a reason right here to descriminate against women. I'm glad not all women are like you.

" well we have reasons to do that most men are careless and immature and take nothing seriously" and you say you don't descriminate against men?
"most men are careless idiots" what if I said women are stupid c****? But no I'm not like that, I won't do it.

Maybe it's because they haven't met a good guy yet. So they think every guy in the world is bad.

For starters, Tanks, it's not a long time ago that men discriminate against women. It's still happening in today's supposedly enlightened times. I was a female electrician, and the number of comments I got about how I was taking men's jobs away from them, and how I shouldn't be doing that job were incredible. A few even thought I was a lesbian because I was in a "male" job. I've also grown up being taught how to repair my own cars, and the number of mechanics who have totally ignored me and my knowledge on my own car to talk over my head to my husband about my car, that I built from the ground up, it just blows my mind.
It's not a matter of men discriminating against women, or women discriminating against men, it's a matter of people discriminating against people. And the reason it happens is because we all try to place ourselves in the pecking order. We assess the people surrounding us, and those we come into contact with, and we judge them so we can compare them with ourselves and see if they are higher or lower than us, and where we fit. That all works fine, until someone decides they don't like how they compare and try to bring us down a peg or two to make them seem of a higher status.
Once everyone realises that it really doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things whether they are more good-looking or more wealthy, or have more stuff or a bigger tv or a bigger penis, or the ability to pee standing up vs the ability to carry babies, then we will be rid of discrimination.

I completely agree with you. -- But not all women descriminate men..., to be honest, I think those are the ones that never got over a bad relationship, carrying recentment into new ones! -- I think it comes down to a personal choice on how people relate to others. --

I am right there with you, you and me are real feminists.
I have two issues with what you said, it's some men and some women, and women weren't just discriminated against a long time ago, there were laws discriminating against women as recently as the 70's. Some people discriminate against women today too. But all that is just semantics.

Do women do that? How can women discriminate men? I can't think of any possible reason why and how we can discriminate men and besides I never discriminate anybody. Whatever you are whoever you are, I don't care as long as your nice.
And you're actually right. If people keep discriminating each other nothing would happen except an endless fight between men and women but if we don't mind those things that hinder us from becoming closer with each other we might actually have a better world.

Your question is a great one. Many men feel very threatened by the word feminist because they instantly assume that this means they will be victimized. Most feminists are concerned about discrimination in any sense. They are focused on alleviating power imbalances that exist in our society. This may have to do with discrimination based on disability, mental health issues, age, class, gender, culture, race etc. White, middle, class males do have a position of dominance in today's power hierarchy. Many do not wish to give up any of these entitlements by admitting that others are also entitled to rights and freedoms.
Your question is a good one because it gives all who read it pause to think about how they feel about their position in society and whether they are willing to commit to helping others and in turn themselves to achieve autonomy, and self actualization.

1) I don't think that, and I am a woman. Therefore, your generalization is incorrect.
2) Men still discriminate against women today, though it's gotten better over the years.

well we have reasons to do that most men are careless and immature and take nothing seriously. Trust me, we would be more than happy to find a decent guy who we can treat as an equal.
I didn't say that I discriminate against men, I said that most men are careless idiots, and that such a person man or woman should be discriminated against. My favorite teacher is a man who I really really admire,it's not about the gender, but that is something u won't understand.
