lol give the respect I expect people to show ME... one person said... i lived a life that gave nothing that sought only to serve MY needs and appetites above all else then I would expect to be given disrespect, if I abandoned by my death an innocent child because of desire to fill my own needs i would not eexpect any respect I would prefer to just be buried and forgotten unfortunately because a death is a mysterious one and has controversial matter surrounding it the limelight must linger but there is NO reason to say anything nice for someone who I said nothing nice about in life and has proven themselves to be even MORE reprehensible in their demise

Give the respect you expect people to give you. All living things, no matter how bad they were or the type of life they lived, deserve the same respect as anyone else when passing. Its just the polite thing to do. No you don't have to but its a nice thing to do.

It is not respect to the dead person actually, but to DEATH. To the fact that we'll all die and our good deeds and bad actions will fade away.

To the dead, it doesn't make much difference. The respect you show is to the living for their loss. You do not, however have to show respect for anyone, living or dead.

No death is not an accomplishment...it is the price you pay for living. When you die, you pay your dues, and you deserve respect for paying them.

You're right, what people do is not exactly showing respect I think, they're watching and enjoying. We must discuss this voyeurism tendency of people.
