From this four countries is clear Bra and Arg are the best soccer teams. So I think their rivalry is constrained to the sport field. However when you talk about Eng v Arg is obvious this is going beyond the sport field and more over in the case Mex vs USA since this involves issues from both sides dated back for more than 2 centuries.

I was one of the (minority) US fans at the game on Wednesday, and the energy was incredible. It should be noted that what made the game intense was the MEXICAN fans, not the US fans.

For the players, the intensity may be the same, but for the overall passion, it is definitely Brazil v. Argentina. Both countries shut-down for 2 1/2 hours on game day. Soccer is still very small here relative to every other country (ESPN2 had about 1M viewers, which was the largest non WC game broadcast). Outside the US or Mexico, I doubt many other people were interested. With a Brazil v. Argentina game, it is always on the world stage. Let's see how things go during the Copa America this summer!

Brazil vs Argentina, specially with the question of who's better - Pele or Maradona. The passion in the Mex vs USA is more on one side. England vs Argentina, not as much passion as Brazil vs Argentina.

to the guy above me and to answer your question.. Obviously you haven't been to Brazil and Argentina..

you may think you've seen the most exciting by watching Mexico vs USA.. I have been to those games twice.. it's quite an experience.. but my friend, nothing like watching Brazil Argenina inside the Bombonera (argentina) that is not quite an experience, it's an experience of a lifetime. Nerves, anger, hsitory, passion, beautifull women, signs, cops, beer, cheer, screams, tears.. all to form a spectacle of amazing proportions, 90 minutes that will last you a lifetime.. that is if you really like soccer or know what's going on..

Brazil and Argentina would be the most passionate one in my opinion. Haven't you seen the commercial of MAradona wearing a Brazilian Jersey. It turns out to be a nightmare that the druggie has, but anyway, there was a lot of outrage in Argentina because one of their national heroes was wearing a jersey of Brazil. In those countries you don't mess with their soccer.

Brasil vs Argentina
greatest football(soccer) rivalry and Brazilians and Argentinians hate each other. I hate those Argentinians.
I remember the last Copa America finals, where Brasil won
And the finals of the Confederation Cup, those were good games
