I cannot say this is the easiest way to stop biting your nails but this is how i stopped: age 17, madly in love with my b-friend who warned me he would break up with me if i didn't stop biting my nails.
I loved him and the nails started growing! lol
Now at age 39, i can thank him for the favour he did me some 22 years ago because i have long beautiful healthy nails.
Think it would work for you?!

A friend of mine had this problem and had success with using both bad tasting nail polish and false nails. What she did was having false nails on, that was instant gratification and reminded her of how she wanted her nails to look. Then if she had to remove them or one came off she used the nail polish. She has great hands now and it has boosted her self confidence to take care of her self in general. Do not worry about the false nails damaging your nail bed, you are doing much more damage with the biting. When you start this, whatever method you choose, try keeping yourself busy, preferablly in a public place most of the time where you will be reluctant to do it and too busy to think about it.

False ones work really well as they break the habit and yes they do damage your nails but in the long run curing the biting is the issue so why not have a set of fairly short false ones put on to break the habit thenafter about 6 weeks remove them and then concentrate on getting your nails into a good condition good luck and i hope you get your ladylike nails

There are nail varnishes that you paint on with a disgusting taste, try them (from a local chemist). Also, when you sit down or are idle put your hands together and entwine your fingers ... that means that you don't have 'spare' fingers handy and have to think about untwining your hands. It's to do with re-conditioning the brain and getting rid of the automatic habit ... try hypnosis too.
I, too, had this habit for some years and the above tips worked for me - I now have a fine set of natural nails that I'm proud of.
Good luck, it really is all about willpower.

If you had acrylic nails on for say 3 months you would have got out of the habit by then, plus your own nails would be long underneath them.
Ive had acrylics on for 3 years now,I have them back filled every 4 weeks and I take them off every 6 months and have a new set,my nails are still in good condition underneath.

Try those BITE-STOP nailpolish things. When you bite ur nails, it'll taste bad and you'll stop.
People say you should get a nice manicure to make you not want to bite it because it looks so good. But I don't think that'll help.
Just STOP! Like, I know it sounds hard but just don't bite your nails because you know what's going to happen after you chew them all up. It'll look so messy n ugly and you dont want that!

Keep reminding yourself the germs that grow under the nails, and that you are eating them. that's how I stopped. And keep a nail file near by, instead of biting try filing. Will power, the first week is hard.

You just have to be persistent in regards to the solution, I used to bite my nails real bad but after about two weeks of using that foul tasting crap. You just can't bare to put your fingers in you mouth.

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/BNwiW
For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.
