New Movie Character!?
I am writing a sci-fi script that will resemble Aliens and have the dark undertones of Event Horizon...It will concentrate briefly on how space has been explored by tourists and the only exploration left is through wormholes. This leaves humanity and all off it's safe and secure reclaimed lands behind and into a dark unknown universe. I need a character and a reason why she is in this setting someone who resembles Ripley and someone like the Master Chief from the Halo franchise. Can you help me out?

May I add that the third posters ideas are absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately a little comples for the script I have in mind. My script deals with what we do when confronted with fear. Not peoples greed. The idea slightly resembles Prison Break but I still love the idea

Instead of taking character from other sci-fi stories why not think outside the box and come up with completely new and totally different characters?

she was given small tatto as a baby, but when it's placed under a microscope, it reveles a map of the universe inwhich holds the key to all of lifes design, for which will create new worlds, able to contain human life also allowing the planet earth's to be reborn, only she has the ability to understand the map, but many want it for their own evil reasons.Her name is "Bertha O'man" everyone calls her "birth-o-man"
