Mel Kiper's past record speaks for itself. He knows his stuff however occasionally owners make decisions that has everyone stumped. In the case of Calvin Johnson, Oakland needs a QB more that a WR thus why they will pick JaMarcus Russell

Its a rip off to pay money to look @his draft. Especially when hes made alot of mistakes.
Kiper projected quarterback Jeff George of the University of Illinois as a mid-round pick, George selected as number 1 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
Kiper projected Notre Dame quarterback Rick Mirer as the 30th pick; he was selected second overall by the Seattle Seahawks
Kiper thought that Heisman Trophy winner and University of Houston quarterback Andre Ware would be an excellent NFL quarterback and a great match for the Detroit Lions-- Ware's tenure in the NFL was brief and inconspicuous.
AND HIS BIGGEST MISTAKE
he stated that USC wide receiver Mike Williams would be the best player in his draft class. When ESPN analyst Merril Hodge disagreed, Kiper uttered the now infamous line, "I'll see you at his Hall of Fame induction." Thus far, Mike Williams has been a remarkable disappointment.
He could be sometimes good but he is mostly bad.

Mel Kiper is no more than a talking head. He has no experience as a GM or in scouting or anything of the sort. He doesn't appear to make in-depth evaluations of individual teams, and foolishly ranks all the prospects together, despite the fact it is asinine to compare such dissimilar positions as safety and running back based on the same criteria. He assesses drafting solely by his own judgements of who the best available player is, and has little respect for needs. Look at every mock you can find, and make your own evaluations about your team. You watch 'em more than any expert on ESPN. I know I do...I'm a Bills fan, and oftentimes the media outside of WNY is just flat out wrong about the Bills simple facts, such as our defensive scheme.
Case in point, we were bashed for "reaching" for Donte Whitner. As the Colts defense proved this year, a great SS can be THE difference in a Tampa-2 defense, thus making SS a huge priority, but Kiper was too busy talking about "value" and trying to compare him to Broderick Bunkley. Score one for the octogenarian HOF head coach...

Titans are not any further taking Newton they say they prefer a bypass first QB this time. yet I assume them to bypass protection in the first round. do not pay that a lot interest to Mel Kiper or Todd Mcshay

Kiper is a clown. If I had a buck for every bozo he's called a sure thing I could retire.
