Go into the BIOS and disable it.

Depending on your BIOS, the options might be different.

However, to enter the BIOS, on most computers, you must press the DEL key or F2 Key while the PC is rebooting..

DO NOT MAKE CHANGES ON THE BIOS, IF YOU FIND IT COMPLICATED.!!

IN the case of Malfunction due to BIOS changes,..
OPEN Computer and remove the lithium Battery for at least 30 seconds, replace it and reboot PC..

First check Device Manager to see if the onboard sound card is listed. If so, you should be able to disable it there. If not, check your BIOS to see if there is a way to turn off-on onboard components. Some of my computers have such options, some don't. I have PCI sound cards installed on computers with onboard sound and have not adjusted the BIOS in any way, and everything works fine.

You should be able to shut it off by entering the BIOS when you boot your computer and disabling it there.
If you still have problems...
You could try going to the Device Manager in the My Computer properties and disabling the device from there, then restarting your computer.

Disable it. Go to hardware manager. I think you have to go to "Administrative Tools" in the Control Panel.
