Can't help with bouncy seats and diaper pails (we didn't have either.) but carseat wise, I would recommend the Graco Snugride or Safeseat.

The Snugride is for 5-22 lbs, and the price varies depending on the pattern you buy. Make sure you get one with a FRONT adjuster. This is the little pull strap between the legs to tighten and loosen the harness.

The Safeseat is for 5-30 lbs, and might be easier for you if you're doing lots of taxi travel - your little one can use it to 18 months ish. Again, make sure it has a front adjustor.

Either seat can be installed with the seatbelt alone (very easily!), or with a base. Both seats can only be used until the top of the child's head is within an inch of the top of the seat.

There are strollers available to "match" these carseats (travel systems).

If you do regularly travel on foot or bus, I also suggest checking out the slings at thebabywearer.com. These are only for while on-foot or bus/train travel - always use a carseat while in the car!

Bouncy seat: We will keep using the same bouncy seat we have for previous children.

Infant car seat: I plan on getting a new infant seat for our next baby and my top contenders are the Graco Safe Seat 1 or the Graco Snugride. The most important features being a 5 point harness, a front adjuster to get the seat snug and tight - every time, a good install in the car and using the seat properly every trip.

Diaper pails: We had (and ended up hating) the Diaper Champ. We use cloth diapers now but in the past used our stainless steel foot operated kitchen garbage can to throw diapers in. We found that the kitchen garbage got taken out more often than the nursery's garbage - which meant less stink.

Congratulations on your new arrival!

The Baby Bjorn is a front pack carrier that I simply could not live without. An exersaucer is the one thing I bought after baby 1 that I still use on baby 5. It was definately money well spent. My favorite car seat is one that is no longer in production, the Fisher Price Stay In View. It can be used in sling fashion allowing me to leave baby in the car seat while still having hands free for the older children when we go shopping and errand running. For diaper pails, I have always found that a standard garbage can is best. Good Luck!

Britax is a very good car seat. Fisher Price's car seats are made by Britax and are less expensive(I'm not sure about there infant seat). Diaper Genie has come out with a new pail called the Diaper Genie Two. Its suppost to be better then the number one was. I think Carter's makes the best onsies. They stretch a lot, so they can last awhile. I don't know if you already have a crib, but make sure to get one that is made from hardwood. Million Dollar Baby(devinci) and Simmons is a good quality mid priced crib(only from online research.

Most stores carry all the same brands for most of those items, so it usually comes down to price or pattern. Fisher-Price is at Walmart, Target, Babies R Us, Fred Meyer, etc. For a car seat you really need to look into features and safety ratings to find the one that will work best in your particular car.

I like to Ocean Wonders bouncer by Fisher Price.
We had a Diaper Genie for our first child, but it really only controls odors until they start solid foods.
Our carseat is the Evenflo Embrace, we have a separate base for each car.
Our swing is an open top by Graco, I think just 2-3 speeds is adequate, that's all you really end up using.
Our mobile is by Sassy. It has 3 different song/white noise settings, a volume control, reversible hanging mobile parts for more stimulation, and a remote control so we don't have to go back in to turn it back on.

I liked the "diaper champ" rather than the "diaper genie"---you can use regular garbage bags instead of the special refills, and it has a handle that you hold onto when you dispose of the diaper (with the genie you have to push the diaper down with your hand.) Ick.
I liked the Fisher Price cradle swing as far as swings go. It gives you the option of going back and forth forward and back or side to side. My oldest child hated forward and back motion (like most swings go) but the side to side motion put her to sleep almost instantly!

Any bouncy seat will do in my opinion..... I got a fancy dancy one for my 3rd child and he liked the regular old $20 version better. ;)

Infant car seats: I liked the travel stroller where the carseat fit in the car and then you could just take it out with one click and click it onto your stroller without having to remove the baby from the carseat and transfer her into the stroller. Great when baby falls asleep in the car and you need to take her out to run errands.... you don't have to wake her.

My favorite baby gear product: 2 words "Baby Bjorn" They are the best baby carrier ever. They are pricey, but check ebay for used ones. Even new, IMO they are worth every penny.

Diaper Genie for the diaper pails (diaper champs tend to let some of the smell out) Britax has the best cars seats. Baby Papasan by fisher Price is an EXCELLENT bounce seat, they also have a swing (it swings side to side or rotates to swing front to back) All of this would be available at Babies R Us.

From a protection element of view, evaluate that, even as rear-dealing with, the shoulder harness is meant to be at or below the youngster's shoulders. very few carseats will enable this. The Britax Roundabout (an spectacular seat, btw) has a especially extreme lowest harness good - 10 inches. i comprehend that my ds did not have a ten inch torso, in spite of his textile diapers, till he became 6 months old. the toddler seats have a tendency to hug their little body's slightly extra comfy, and the straps seem to slot slightly extra effective in a service, inspite of in case you opt for now to not use it outdoors of the motor vehicle (we continuously left ours interior the motor vehicle, and in basic terms wore the toddler.) although, in case you quite choose a convertible seat, you may verify for one with a decrease harness good. for example, the Cosco Scenera has a 7.5 inch. the gentle youthful ones Radian also has a low harness good, yet i visit't discover the precise measurement. specifically, be certain to ascertain the guide and characteristic your seat checked by technique of an authorized baby passenger protection technician!
