I looked at the fry my bettas had and they all look fancy like male with the flaring fins! And there are 100 of them. Is that possible?

How old are your fry? Water temp and water cleanness affect during their first few weeks influence them. I have heard of some spawns of several hundred that are all female, other that are all male--but it's not too frequent. I have grown female bettas in a tank together and they all flare at each other--flaring and displaying is the bettas way of showing "emotion" and it's not gender linked.

It's theoretically possible, but not the case I'm pretty sure. very young betta often go through a stage where they look that way because their fins are growing faster than their bodies. Given them a little more time and you will be able to more easily tell the males from the females.

Well is possible to flip a coin 100 times and get heads every time. The same thing is true with the sex of betta. I really really doubt it happened. keep in mind females can have nice fins as well. They don't get as nearly as long.

Magic probably has it right, altough water temps can affect sex ratios in some species, so maybe?-------PeeTee
