Where is Ghana's Abraham Lincoln????????????
Why if the United States is so moral, we didn't take our troops there to save those children?

I guess because we can't be the Worlds Policeman. The Bible says their will always be the poor. While I agree with you that its wrong and sad, we need other countries such as China, Japan and Russia to step in as well. Its just not a favorite of politicians to jump into social problems.

If you get a chance please add a link to your source - I'd be interested to read it.

Ghana is a country I'm familiar with having spent some time there. Children do work but it's not slavery.

60% of the population is engaged in subsistence agriculture meaning that the entire family works the fields, tends the oxen etc.

Ghana is also a model of African democracy with an openly and honestly elected government that operates in a very transparent manner. The Ghanaian systems are to all intents and purposes the same as the British ones - Ghana having been a British colony until 1957 (actually it was Brittsh Togoland and The Gold Coast that merged to become Ghana).

There is no need to send in troops. the Ghanaian military is one of the most respected in the world and is very active in peace-keeping and humanitarian roles (Sudan, Lebanon etc).

This is so horrible, for these reason I sometimes travel to africa and to some poor regions in south america and help the poor communities.
I took 5 kids from working in a coal mine and I give them monthly support in their city.
