Close all military bases abroad, get the men back home (and women). We could still trade with other countries, just not concern ourselves with their problems. I bet the countries that now berate the U.S. would come crawling back to us on their knees wanting our help. "Please don't leave us America, you are the greatest country in the world and we need your help."

Contrary to what the far left peacenik Polly Anna people think, the world would become a very dangerous place. But then those same insane people think that there is no terrorism in the world and that we the vile evil capitalistic b@stards that we are cause all of the evil in the world. These same far left wackos would last 5 seconds in China, or the Middle East. Their head would end up separated from their shoulders, or with China you either get put in a very bad work camp, or a bullet in the back of the head. That is a heck of a way to get a reality check.

what you said might happen is a very nice thought but I just don't think it would go down like that. How can we possibly leave the rest of the world alone when we still have immigrants from all over pouring into our country? How can we leave the rest of the world alone when China in their secret underground nuclear labs plotting on how they can out do our country? How can we leave the rest of the world alone when we have people from other countries coming smuggling drugs into our country and kidnapping our young girls for sex trade.
Sure, lets leave the rest of the world alone......if we do that we will one day wake up to the sound of bombs crashing all around up.......

Then we would have less products, more money, and less people to worry about. But then more people might come into the U.S and then they would leave their countries behind, which would force us to take care of them.
Many oil products wouldn't be used wisely, which would cause the world to run out of oil.
There wouldn't be much peace in the world.

The money we spend on taxes would be used to pay our deserving police officers, fire fighters, and postal workers.....to improve our cities, and create jobs instead of killing foreign children and crazy old men in other countries....Here America is building schools and housing for countries that hate us while schools here are closing and our veterans go homeless and have less than adequate health care.
