Presidents day is a federal holiday. It is a combination of Lincoln's and George Washington's birthday celebration. They use to be celebrated separately until the late 60's when they were combined as one. It is the 3rd Monday of February. So this Monday, the 11th, should be a normal business day. President's day is on the 19th this year.

I remember no school on both Lincoln's AND Washington's birthdays. Now the lumped them into ONE day...February's third Monday. I think the kids here still go to school. What I think is funny, to Martin Luther King, Jr, education was one of the foremost important things to him. So what happens on birth date? SCHOOLS SHUT DOWN! Makes me go hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It's a federal holiday. So no mail services and all government offices are closed, along with any private sector businesses that choose to observe the holiday. However, there are many places that choose to conduct business as usual on President's day. So it's a business day for some, a holiday for others.
