Chod and dzogchen are the sacred teachings of Lord Buddha who taught 84,000 different categories of teachings classified into nine systems of sutra and tantra. Chod belongs to both sutra and tantra.

I`m not sure about this, its a bit of an educated guess. I think its the cradle shaped piece of equipment used for catching practice. You throw the cricket ball into the wooden cradle shaped "chod"? and it flies out in any direction for the fielders to catch, if they are quick enough.
