how do i get the websites with the games that pop up to work?

Are you using Windows XP SP2? The simplest way is to turn off your pop-up blocker, add the site to your firewall's exception list.

Simply disable your Popup-Blocker.

if they are flash games you need the flash plugin.. or if there are java you need java runtime plugin. both a free. google it up
