I had unprotected sex and then approximately two weeks later started having light bleeding. It lasted about a week...I heard implantation bleeding can last that long, it just depends on the person. It was either brown or pink in color, no red...it wasn't like a normal period for me at all. It was extremely light instead of heavy and didn't come with any strong, painful cramps. It also came a WEEK earlier than I expected my period to come...they're usually very regular and I've never had spotting occur before. I should've had my regular period start on the 28th and it didn't. Now I have sore breasts, increased vaginal discharge, bad mood swings, a little bit of nasea on and off, and slight cramping...it doesn't really hurt, but I can feel it. I tested Tuesday and got a negative result. It's been a little over a week since my regular period should've come...Is the test right? Or is it possible that I'm pregnant? Has anyone had anything like this happen before?

I had a false negative. I finally went to the Dr and was 10 weeks pregnant! Make a Dr's appt asap. Don't put it off like I did. Thankfully I have a beautiful, smart, funny, healthy 16 month old girl.

I would expect a positive to show up a week after your period is due, so IMO I think the chances are low that you're pg. However, while it isn't really possible to get a false positive, it is possible to get a false negative. There simply may not be enough HCG in your urine yet to test positive. Test again in a few days to be sure. Usually HCG levels can be picked up a couple days *before* your period is due, so that's why I think it's unlikely that it is a false negative in your case. But---you never know---so definitely retest in a few days.

hi, i took a pregnancy test 2 days after my period was due and it was negative, i had really bad stomach cramps like period pains and had some light bleeding about a week later, i took another pregnancy test 2 weeks later and it was positive, the symtoms you are having does sound like pregnancy but i would wait until the beginning of next week and take another test, it may be that youve tested to early as in some women theres not enough LH surge detected to give a positive result

You may be pregnant, or you may not. Try taking one more first thing in the morning, but your best bet is to go to an OB-GYN and request a blood test. If the blood test is positive for pregnancy, i would suggest also requesting an early ultra sound to ensure you are not having an ectopic pregnancy.

Ectopic pregnancies have lower amounts of HcG and take longer to detect on a urine HPT. My best friend had an ectopic pregnancy and barely went to the doctor until it burst and she was near death. Better to be safe than sorry. Please don't think I am trying to scare you, but these things happen and it is better to know earlier than later.

I do really hope everything goes well for you!!!

Take yet another attempt in some days to be particular. I went through this to boot and the recognizing saved getting lighter and lighter till I had no era in any respect. What i grow to be informed through the Dr is that the BC pill can make your cycle fairly gentle and in some case non existent. i presumed he grow to be putting me on and that i went to a unique Dr and were given an similar answer. My advice is do yet another attempt, and keep on with up with the Dr basically to substantiate there is not any longer some thing else occurring.

False negatives are pretty common. I'd test again, or see a doctor for a blood test (they are much more sensitive and more accurate).
