I do believe, from experiences while awake and asleep.
Don't be scared...acknowledge them, that's what they want.
I had a haunted house, like someone was telling a story, things kept happening and they kept appearing. It slowed down after I put the pieces together and talked to them. It was'nt just the house...it was outside too.
Alot of people want to tell their experiences, but are afraid of losing a job, what people might say, etc......They don't live my life...I do...So I speak as I wish.

Note: I've had many experiences in my life with spirits (all good, except one)

Edit: In Light......
You can (and should) accept Jesus in your life and live a good life, (in how you treat others and yourself) but until His return and the dead shall rise, there's no salvation until then, when we will be judged. Salvation at this moment is a huge misinterpretation that's been wrongly preached over the years.

There are good and bad spirits around all the time....I have experienced both. You can't have good without evil. They both exist.

Don't ask a fanatic about this either....they've been misleading people.

Yes, I definitely believe that the spirits of our loved ones can visit us in our dreams or while asleep. A perfect example of an experience I once had was with my Grandfather.

I dreamt that my Grandfather came to see me in a brand NEW Blue Pick-Up Truck. I met him outside the house like I knew he was coming for me. He took me for a ride around the block a couple of times in his new truck. He started to talk to me about my mother (his daughter). He told me to have patience for my mother because she was getting old and her time was limited. I valued that conversation in my heart so much and it was a privilege for him to choose me. Before I knew it, I was awake.

I told my mother about that dream. I told her about the truck and her face went pale like she had seen a ghost. She told me that just before Granddaddy died, he had just purchased a Brand NEW Truck and it was BLUE. She knew that I could not have possibly made that dream up because I was only 3 years old when he died. She never spoke of this truck before.
You should be honored when family spirits visit you. It's a privilege not everyone can experience. I believe you.

Speaking of smells, this is an extremely common sign that ghosts and/or spirits are present. Don't be afraid. It's okay.

I believe in some people having a sixth sense. I know so many sane and down to earth people who have had psychic experiences that couldnt be explained away. If it was concerning people that you had a loving relationship with then maybe it was their way of letting you know they are still around; once you've got your head round the idea, it can actually be quite reassuring.

Oh ABSOLUTELY! This was just your aunts way of saying hello and letting you know she is watching out for you.
When my brother passed away myself and my children could smell his favorite cologne. When my mom passed one of my daughters (3yrs old) would wake up asking for Nana. I had to sit there and tell my mom to stop coming around because it frightened her. She did and it never happened again. My grandmother would come to visit me in my sleep and I would wake up to the smell of the ocean from her beach house.
I have never seen a ghost either but I am certain that the soul lives on and those in spirit do come to visit us.

Most people who don't believe beyond the boundaries of proven theories would probably say your brain tells you that you are missing your aunt, so your brain produces the one smell that reminds you of her.

Other people who are not limited to thinking within the box, might say that you were possibly visited my your aunt's ghost, or that the "spirits" shall we say, of her house are reacting to her death. or, if your aunt's house has had other deaths in it, the other dead souls are accepting her into the other realm. this may be the case if it only happened to you on the night she died. I'm with the out-of-the-box thinkers myself. I have a ghost residing in my attic.

yeah, i think it's possible.
i believe that we don't go anywhere after we die, we just stay on earth as spirits.
i also think it's possible that the spirits visit you, i guess they could bring scents with them, anything is possible
