You have vapor lock. The fuel is evaporating because of the heat from the engine That's why if you let it idle down for a few minutes before you shut it down it starts right up The fan is blowing off the excess heat. You need to put a heat shied on the fuel line close to where the line and the engine are closest. I drive a Mack dump truck and it is recommended by Mack to idle the motor down for 5 min. before shutting it off. I hope this helps.

Go with the Ignition Control Module. This is a common FORD problem and now a common MAZDA problem since it is built by Ford. Because of the way the fuel system is put together you can't get vapor lock on that truck. The ICM gets hot and breaks down, cools down and works again. Most part stores can check the ICM but unfortunately the usually have to be smokin' hot to check for this failure. Once you remove it and it cools down on the way to the parts store it will usually check fine on the counter. Change it out. It is going to cost a few bucks but good first thing to look at.
