The equation of a line is written y = mx +b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. You have the slope of the line and an x and y value. Substitute it in the equation....-4 = -1/3(6) + b. Solve to get b. -4 = - 1/3(6) + b.........
-4 = -2 + b
-2 = b so the equation is y = -1/3x - 2.
