The closest thing there is to a national molly group is the American Livebearer Association http://livebearers.org/

As far as what a perfect molly looks like, well, a lot of that depends. Mollies come in so many variety that you can't really say one size or color is the best. The main things you are looking for in a great molly is that it's healthy, it's fins are in good shape, it's the right shape for it's type and it appears to be full grown. Try a google image search for mollies (Poecillia sphenops) and Poecillia latipinna and for the Sailfin Molly (Poecillia velifera). You should be able to find lots of pics of good mollies at can help you pick the very best for your breeding.

Best of luck with them!

FYI on pets: Did you do your research on pets?

Now as far as fish are concerned if that is what you are talking about. What would you do with all of those mollies? Pet stores don't need any, they have their own that are breeding.

I agree with PP. If you do do this, please make sure you have a plan for all these baby mollies. They are easy to breed so the demand for them is not high at all.

Most people can not even give them away.

Also agree with PP about the live bearers link. It is prob the closes.
