I live near the bay and I'm interested in avoiding the town boat ramp and launching the boat directly from beach. Is there a solution out there that would allow me to trailer a boat (under 600 lbs) from my home 2 blks away, across approximately 75 yards across the beach? Any suggestions - much appreciated.

anything you move in the sand, such as a trailer, or a quad, or 4x4, and it has bearings (which they do), is going to turn into "SAW DUST" after about a week of going across the sand. Just rent a boat slip at someones house, it's pretty cheap, and you use your boat more, you don't spend 1/2 your day at the ramp, or hooking up the car, or the associated problems that go wrong with trailering.

Use a Quad-Runner with a hitch, and lower the air pressure in the trailer tires so they don't sink in to the sand.

Buy some one inch ply-wood and make a ramp.

set your trailer up with pontoon tires, i think they're 10.5x20...very wide. use a 4 wheeler.
