What do you mean by good? If you are a 4.0 GPA student and have 2200 SATs then JWU is probably not a good choice. But if your numbers match up with theirs, and if you are oriented toward business, then you might be a good match. Providence is a very interesting city which is full of students (because it has Providence College, RI College, Bryant, Roger Williams and URI building, and Brown University and JWU - 35,000 students in a city of 150,000.
Check their web site and see if you are a match. Then check some other schools. UMass -Dartmouth, UMass-Boston, Eastern Connecticut or RICollege might be better? Or what about Northeastern, Stonehill, Wheaton, or some of the other small colleges around southern New England.
There are lots of choices.... find a good match for yourself....

Or Jay WOO as they call it. It's good for certain majors of study, over all not hard to get into at all and limited campus, great nite life. If cooking is ur thing it's a good place to go! I have a couple of good friends who went there for business and they can't find jobs in there field. I applied to 15 college back in 1999 and ended up at Plymouth State in New Hampshire, but...everyone likes to party, but I don't think daily and nightly is acceptable...so I transfer to Eastern Connecticut State University and grad in 2003...if your looking for teaching...ecsu is a great place, they have done so much to the came and early childhood edu is great as well, huge center on campus. The dorms are great...the town of Williamtic is less to be desired but there are some great things about it! :) If your not getting into other school then Johnson and Wales is the way to go...if there are other choices I would else where..I don't think u even need SAT's to get in...this is saying something about the type of students that get in.....which means almost anyone who's willing to pay can get it! Look else where 1st!
