Portrait in Sepia, by Isabelle Allende. It is a historical novel about a woman whose ancestry is chilean, growing up in San Francisco. It's a wonderful novel, tying together lots of experiences of a few families. I highly recommend it.

Excellent!!!!!! :-)
His books are fast-paced and relaxing and totally captivating...
I just read 3 in a very short time span, this one being the 3rd.
Also read CROSS and JUDGE AND JURY.
Can never get enough.... :-)
