We are staying at the atlantis, but we want to do something outside of the hotel such as swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, parasailing. Is there anything like that which isn't highly expensive?

We stopped off in Nasaau on a four day cruise in 2002. I made plans ahead of time to go to Blue Lagoon to swim with the dolphins and it was the thrill of a life time for me. The cost at the time was around 145.00 for a half hour to forty-five min. session. But you actually swam and interacted with two dolphins. Or you could do the cheaper version where you just get in around your waist to pet them. You take a 20-30 minute ferry to the island. But if you do decide to do it, make your reservations ahead of time seeing that they only take so many in one session and they usually book up quickly.

And enjoy staying at Atlantis, what a gorgeous resort. I know that they have an aquarium at the hotel, and they should have things at the hotel that involve parasailing/snorkelling. Honestly, I wouldn't trust anything outside of your resort. Just be safe. You can always go down to the Port and see what the people coming off of the cruise are doing, other than that, I'd just stay on the resort.

I went snorkeling with Bahama Divers..it was like $30-$40 US .. they offer diving as well. I included a link. I think the dolphin swimming is available at the Atlantis though. I left a few links for some activities.

Well I am a native and things like that would be costly. You can try the the Fast Ferry a boat ride to one of an island (HARBOUR ISLAND) which has pink sand. When my husband first visited the island we went on a helicopter ride around Nassau, horse and carriage ride down town and took a speed boat to an island call Exuma. There are lots of adventures, all you have to do is ask and I am sure someone can help you in getting great deals. Have fun
